Tuesday Tasting: East London Liquor Company

Black Rock

Tuesday 10th March | 18:00–20:00 | Black Rock
Join us for an evening with East London Liquor Company, one of the pioneers of London’s modern distilling scene.
Founded in the heart of Bow Wharf, ELLC has built a reputation for producing characterful whisky with a distinctly modern approach. Their whiskies combine traditional techniques with innovative cask maturation, creating bold, flavour-forward spirits that showcase what English whisky can be.

Threads Blended Whisky - Component Parts

East London Liquor Company's Head of Whisky leads an evening tasting through six of the component whiskies that make up Threads, East London’s blended whisky. Each spirit is tasted individually — with context on origin, cask, and flavour role — before the finished blend brings them together.

Threads is built from a Highland Scotch malt base, a range of East London single malts, and a small percentage of rye grain spirit. The masterclass is designed to show how a blend is constructed from the inside out: what each component contributes, why proportion matters, and what makes Threads taste the way it does.

Suitable for whisky enthusiasts and curious newcomers alike. No prior knowledge needed — just an interest in what's actually in the glass.

Format: Guided tasting of 6 component whiskies + finished blend Led by: Sam Garbutt, Head of Whisky, East London Liquor Company Duration: 60 mins  ABV: Components vary / Threads 42%
