Our sixth and final stop sees us arrive in Brazil for the Grande Dame of all Carnivals as Hotel Cartagena comes to life with the sounds of Rio Carnival from the 5th March before a blow-out Carnival brunch on Friday 8th March. Indulge in Picanha with grilled pineapple, cheese bread and doused in Chimichurri sauce before you celebrate with a Pomegranate Caipirinha and dance the night away.
No trip to South America would be complete without a stop in our namesake – Colombia. From 26th February, order our Sancocho de Pescado served with banana leaf, coconut & lemongrass and arroz con gandules alongside our orange-flavoured Santa Marta cocktail.
Cuba is calling from 12th February! Veal Vaca Frita with black bean, onion mojo, tostones, maduros and yucca lands on our menu to bring an explosion of flavour. Don’t leave without paying homage to a famous Cuban resident with the Hemingway Daquiri.
Our trip around the Caribbean sees us land on the shores of the Dominican Republic on 19th February. Let the Hotel Cartagena kitchens introduce your taste buds to the Dominican take on Mofongo Relleno with shrimp al ajilo, smoked bacon and sazon achiote washed down with the Limonada de Coco cocktail.
