Banh Mi Workshop

Banh Mi Workshop

Make Vietnam's favorite baguette from scratch with market-fresh Hoi An ingredients.

Begin your banh mi journey with a boat trip on the Thu Bon River to collect fresh baguettes and ingredients from two Hoi An culinary mainstays: a local bakery famed for its crunchy banh mi bread, and Hoi An's bustling central market.

After getting a close up look at the colorful action in the market and on the streets in the morning, return to the calm of The Merchant Restaurant to prepare your banh mi under the guidance of our Vietnamese chef.

Learn how to make the essential ingredients of banh mi, including tangy pickles, special sauces and fillings of your choice. Finish the workshop by assembling and tasting your own handcrafted banh mi, and take home a special recipe booklet.
