Police are concerned that the disappearance of 60-year-old, Miss Mona Lott is connected to the discovery of a smallboat, abandoned in North Lock Cove on Saturday morning. Police were alerted when Barker, Mona’s faithful companion was found wondering alone in the cove next to the boat by a neighbour on an early morning run. She took the dog to Miss Lott’s address and immediately called the police upon finding her not home. The boat is believed to have belonged to smugglers that have recently been observed arriving at random points along the coast. The Daily Lockdowne will bring you updates as the investigation unfolds.
