Orton's Brasserie

Orton Sq, Leicester LE1 1RD, United Kingdom, Leicester

International $$

A modern British brasserie in the heart of Leicester’s Cultural Quarter. Ortons Brasserie offers fresh and locally sourced British cuisine; lovingly prepared and expertly served.

Orton’s Brasserie is an ode to Joe Orton, a famous Leicester born playwright best known for his scandalous plays such as ‘Entertaining Mr Sloan’ and ‘Loot’. In Orton’s later life, he received notoriety during the infamous trial dubbed ‘The Gorilla and the Rose’, for his work in defacing book covers. ‘The Gorilla and the Rose’ trials are the origins for Orton’s Brasserie branding that, to us encompasses our core values of being accessible to all, welcoming to all and a little bit “Ortonesque”.
