This joint emits a delicious fresh bread smell thanks to their almost constant production of Barbari flatbread, while the turquoise and blue color scheme pays homage to its Persian roots!
Combining both contemporary and traditional Iranian choices, the menu offers a mouthwatering selection. Diners are spoilt for choice with an array of dishes from succulent lamb, chicken and seafood kebabs, to the hearty khoresht stew dishes and the Khoresht Badenjan (think slow roasted lamb stew mingled with perfectly cooked eggplant and lentils). There is also a range of delectable rose, pistachio, rice and date desserts for the sweet inclined.
Pointed archways, Persian carpets, a mirrored ceiling featuring a mosaic of geometric shaped tiles and the exquisite cutlery and table settings all create a fairy tale-like aura. A great feature of Golestan is the clay tannur oven located just as you enter the restaurant producing the most gorgeous aromas of baking bread. Although chic and modern in its general decor, the architecture and the clay oven add a warmth and familiarity to the surroundings.
